This projection is formed from the data in a computer file. The image isn’t made from what the file represents, or even anything about what the file is used for. These pixels are generated from the structure of the data that makes the file. This image was created from a PDF. Some sort of file that contained a bunch of words now turned into an abstract landscape.

Across the ten foot width of the floor to ceiling projection, white pixels flow in speckly patterns from the top to the bottom, forming a pixelated haze. Around the bottom third of the projection, they stop with a band of pure white. Below that band are narrow horizontal lines of black pixels that lay on top of each other, forming gentle zigzag patterns in the white space.
